Para Teqball Showcased At Demonstration Event In Budapest
A para teqball demonstration event took place at the Hungarian French Institute in Budapest at the medicine, science and technology at the service of athletes showcase on 2-3 June.
FITEQ Sport Director Matthew Curtain began by giving a presentation about the origins, growth and aspirations of para teqball before para teqball athletes Keresztes Zsolt and Attila László delivered a presentation about their lives as para athletes and the inclusivity of the sport.
With a uniquely tailored and intuitive rule set, para teqball is one of the most accessible para-adaptations of sports, and regularly features as a category at major FITEQ events.
FITEQ President Gábor Borsányi said, “We remain committed to raising the profile of para teqball so that it can continue to grow and be involved as a category at as many events as possible. Teqball has always been about inclusivity, so it is important that we keep this momentum going to ensure we can continue to make teqball open to all.”
