FITEQ publishes latest World Ranking
FITEQ has published its latest World Ranking with changes in men’s and women’s doubles, as well as mixed doubles.
In the men’s doubles, Brazil’s Claudio Davi Ponte Dos Santos and Luiz Fernando De Mendonca de Lima moved up one space to from 26 to 25 in the wake of their impressive run to the semifinals of the Rio de Janeiro Challenger, where they were narrowly beaten on home soil by eventual winners Ferraz and Medeiros. Mohamad Hafez moved up one space to number 30 after his impressive victory at the Tripoli Challenger in Lebanon alongside his partner Charif Sibaii.
In the women’s doubles, the Brazilian pairing of Natalia Guitler and Rafaella Fontes climbed one space up to fourth after they were crowned champions at the Rio de Janeiro Challenger - finishing ahead of world number one Margaret Osmundson and her partner Nancy Avesyan, who finished in third.
In the mixed doubles, Guitler again rose one position this time alongside her partner Marcos Vieira, after the duo emerged with silver in Rio where they were defeated by the formidable Csaba Banyik and Zsanett Janicsek. Mohamad Hafez also rose in the doubles rankings, up four places to 31 after victory in Lebanon alongside Mira Khouja.
There are no changes in the singles categories for July.
