FITEQ engages future teqball stars at the Norway Cup
FITEQ, in collaboration with the Norwegian Teqball Federation and the Teqball Norway sales department, attended the Norway Cup, a prestigious international youth football tournament held in the country’s capital of Oslo.
The Norway Cup is the world’s largest youth football tournament and hosts over 1,500 teams every year. With 30,000 boys and girls youth players from over 50 countries worldwide participating in the Norway Cup, the Norwegian Teqball Federation was well placed to inspire and recruit the next generation of talented teqers.
Alongside the youth teams, several top Norwegian football teams were also in attendance, including Strømgodset, Sarpsborg 08, KFUM Oslo, and Mjøndalen.
The teqball zone was very busy throughout the tournament, with players practicing their skills between matches and members of the Norwegian U19 female team and Norwegian ski star Helene Fossesholm also showing their skills on the table.
The event gave the federation the opportunity to engage future teqball stars, as well as meet potential sponsors and present the world’s fastest growing sport to them.
TEQ tables will be donated to 20 Norwegian football clubs to ensure a lasting a legacy and increased accessibility as teqball continues to grow throughout the country, and official National Olympic Committee recognition is targeted.
