Long Beach, CA to host the USA Teqball Tour!
Los Angeles will be hosting the next instalment of the USA Teqball Tour on 26-28 August, with 62 athletes headed to Long Beach to compete in men’s and women’s doubles. US soccer legend Carli Lloyd, who played 316 games for the USWNT, will be in attendance for a meet and greet and to watch some high quality teqball.
The event, which follows on from the last USA Teqball Tour stop in June in Miami, will see some of the world’s very best teqball players competing for $30,000 worth of prize money and all-important World Ranking points (4800 for 1st, 2880 for 2nd, and 1920 for 3rd).
LA hosted the USA Teqball Tour in Santa Monica in April, with Bogdan Marojevic and Nikola Mitro winning the men’s doubles and Carolyn Greco and Margaret Osmundson winning the women’s doubles on home soil. Greco and Osmundson went on to lose in the final in Miami and will be seeking revenge.
With talent such as Julien Grondin, Hugo Rabeux, Apor Györgydeák, Szabolcs Ilyés, Csaba Bányik, Balázs Katz, and Anna Izsák already confirmed alongside world number 1 pairing Greco and Osmundson, it’s sure to be a high-quality international affair!
