FITEQ meets with key sports leaders at PANAM Sports GA
The International TEQBALL Federation (FITEQ) attended a series of key meetings with members of the PANAM Sports family in Santiago, Chile from 31 August - 1 September, as TEQBALL and para TEQBALL continue to grow throughout the region.
FITEQ Chairman Viktor Huszar and FITEQ Continental Development Manager Evelin Gondos were in attendance for the 60th annual PANAM Sports General Assembly, with Viktor Huszar giving a keynote presentation on ACODEPA GA talking about the establishment of the TEQBALL PANAM Confederation and the global growth of TEQBALL. Afterwards, they met General Secretary of PANAM Sports Ivar Sisniega to discuss collaboration and growth opportunities for TEQBALL, in addition to meeting Chilean Sports Minister Alexandra Benado
FITEQ also held productive discussions with senior figures from many of the 41 participating National Olympic Committees (NOCs), with exciting developments arising from key conversations, and important steps taken towards NOC recognition in countries throughout the Americas.
In particular, Colombian NOC President Ciro Solano Hurtado expressed his support towards the sport of TEQBALL and its future in Colombia and the wider region.
Viktor Huszar and TEQBALL Chile President Henry Reimberg presented the Head of Cabinet of the Sports Ministry of Chile, Natalia Bravo, with a Memorandum of Understanding to signify the future working relationship between the Sports Ministry of Chile and TEQBALL Chile. FITEQ also donated 300 TEQ tables to Chilean schools and public areas to increase access for teqers nationwide.
