First international tournament In Montenegro as teqball continues rapid growth
The Teqball Federation of Montenegro hosted its first international tournament on September 10 in the coastal town of Ulcinj, with twelve teams (nine Montenegrin and three international) participating in the event.
The landmark competition came in the wake of two successful national competitions held this summer in Luštica Bay, and Kolašin, and is symbolic of the continued momentum of teqball in Montenegro.
In addition to the tournament, a friendly competition was organised for the youth players from local football club FC Otrant Olympic, giving many young teqers the opportunity to step up to the curved table and practice their skills.
FITEQ would like to thank all participants for their role in this successful event, as well as Mr Vasilije Lalošević, the Montenegrin Minister of Sports and Youth, for opening the contest.
As the world’s fastest growing sport continues to gain momentum across the country, FITEQ is excited for the future of teqball in Montenegro!
