Teqball impresses as demonstration sport at South American Games is Paraguay
Teqball was featured as a demonstration sport at the 2022 South American Games, which took place in Asunción, Paraguay, from 1-15 October.
The South American Games is a multi-sport event organised by the South American Sports Organisation, this year featuring 15 nations competing across 34 sports.
Colombians Laura Catalina and Nilson Castañeda, and Brazilians Gabrielle Pereira and Luan Sidney, represented FITEQ at the Paraguayan Olympic Committee Fan Festival and the Paraguayan National Ministry of Sports.
Over a ten-day period, the ambassadors took pride in introducing Teqball to thousands of spectators through hosting the competitions and providing winners with Teqball merchandise.
Also present at the Fan Fest was the President of the Paraguayan Beach Football Federation Robert Harrison, who tested his skills at the site alongside FITEQ Chairman Viktor Huszar, who was also in Asunción due to the establishment of the new Pan American Teqball Confederation.
