For the first time since FITEQ’s inception in 2017, a joint Polish and Hungarian training camp took place in Hungary.

Last weekend, between 18th and 20th of November in Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary, eight Teqball athletes from five well-known clubs in Poland, participated in the training camp.

In addition to the local players from the Sárréti Teqball Club in Hajdúszoboszló, the National junior players from Infinity Teqball and Bodker TEQ clubs in Hungary were also invited to the three-day training camp to join forces with their Polish counterparts. The Hungarian National Junior Teqball team coaches, Martin Csereklye and Patrik Borbély, were invited by the organisers to lead the training sessions.

The President of the Sárréti Teqball Club, Tamás Tóth said, “The Polish-Hungarian training camp was created in such a way, that the invited players could also experience and learn about the colourful history and culture of the region. In between their exhausting training sessions, we organised several cultural visits to Debrecen and Hajdúszoboszló.

The last day of the international training camp was celebrated with a mini Singles and Doubles tournament where Hungarian doubles partners Martin Csereklye (HUN) & Tomasz Pląskowski (POL) who play together internationally, defeated all their opponents and the young and upcoming talent Milán Csábi, dominated the singles category.

The organisers were very happy with the success of the event which has further strengthened the Hungarian-Polish relations.
