FITEQ partners with Sport TV to help build awareness of teqball in Croatia
Croatia’s most watched sports television channel, Sport TV, is increasing awareness of teqball through broadcasting a variety of content, including the most recent World Championships. The partnership is helping FITEQ continue building the momentum of the world’s fastest growing sport.
For six weeks, one new match from the 2019 Teqball World Championships was introduced to the broadcast schedule each week, culminating with the dramatic mixed doubles final that saw Brazil edge past hosts Hungary. The matches were shown in full multiple times throughout the week, as well as being included in a Sport TV weekly round-up show. The teqball feature was the lead segment in two of the six weekly shows and the second segment in two of these round-ups. At peak, there were close to 50,000 people watching Sport TV’s teqball content, demonstrating the growing interest of the sport in Croatia.
FITEQ General Secretary Marius Vizer Jr said:
“We are delighted to have partnered with Sport TV to help build the profile of teqball in Croatia. The channel is watched by millions of passionate sports fans, particularly football fans, and this exposure in an emerging teqball market is really valuable. Teqball is growing in popularity every day in Croatia, and star national team defender Dejan Lovren even has his own table! We’re pleased with the number of people that tuned in to watched teqball and we’re excited to use this as a springboard for further growth.”
