FITEQ signs partnership with Eurosport
The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) has signed a media partnership with Eurosport covering 54 countries across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement marks the first time that FITEQ has partnered with a broadcaster.
Eurosport will execute a TV and advertising campaign to grow awareness around teqball and FITEQ. FITEQ aims to grow the teqball community worldwide and hopes that the partnership will help increase the international exposure of the sport. This aligns with the primary strategic goal of FITEQ and teqball - to be added to the Olympic programme.
The deal began with the coverage of the African Beach Games in Sal, where 14 African teams competed in a doubles beach tournament, with Cameroon winning the title, Nigeria coming second and the home country, Cape Verde taking the third spot on the podium.
