FITEQ honoured to receive royal approval from Malaysian State of Perlis
FITEQ is honoured that HRH The Prince of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail has given his royal approval of the introduction and promotion of TEQBALL throughout the state. The Prince of Perlis’ support follows a meeting in the royal capital of Perlis, Arau, with President of the Malaysian TEQBALL Association (MTA) KJ Siva and Vice President Nasruddin Nazar.
The state will now work in close collaboration with the Malaysian TEQBALL Association (MTA) to establish a Perlis State TEQBALL Association and create opportunities for everyone to play the sport. Under Siva’s leaderships, TEQBALL has made great strides in Malaysia, with his efforts enabling more and more people to play the world’s fastest growing sport every day. Reflecting on this significant milestone, President of the MTA KJ Siva said:
“The MTA is focusing on grassroots development. We want our approach to be a model to countries all over the world. In addition to training and developing the new generation of players, we also need to have a proper management system and a long term plan. We are therefore delighted to be able to collaborate with the State of Perlis. We are really honoured to have the royal approval of HRH The Prince of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail. HRH has pledged his full support to take the sport to the next level in Perlis and now it is the MTA’s role, with the support of FITEQ, to ensure this plan is well executed .The State of Perlis will be the first state in Malaysia where TEQBALL will be accessible to everyone. Our eventual aim is to replicate this across the whole country!”
We spoke to President KJ Siva last year, where he discussed his introduction to TEQBALL, his ambitions for the MTA and his emphasis on gender equality in the sport. You can read the full interview here.
