After Poland, Slovakia also held its’ very first youth championships. At the tournament in Samorin, 28 teqers competed in two different age groups.

In last December the Slovakian Teqball Federation organised its debuting contest in Samorin among youngsters to continue their building in order to have a country-wide followership as Teqball is an inclusive sport and welcomes everyone around the table.

Among the U15 age category, in men’s singles, Jozef Strbak could not be stopped and took the trophy while Kevin Izsof finished second, Karolina Konopkova, the only girl at the competition gathered the bronze medal.

Michal Molnar triumphed in U19 men’s singles, in the final he beat Balint Szolgai and Adrian Lakatos came home third.

Although Slovakia has a short history in Teqball, there are plenty of promising athletes and the local federation shows well how to use sources from FITEQ and their own.

As the Polish Teqball Association did the same last December, a trend has born.
