City of future welcomes the future of sports
FITEQ, the organisers of FANKEEPERS Festival and the Dubai Sports Council held together the opening press conference of the very first Teqball event in the Middle East.
Teqball started its Asian campaign in 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. From 16 different nations, 83 players compete in the shadow of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
“We are ready to have Teqball in our city and we plan to have even more events together with FITEQ. The debuting tournament was a great step for us, the next goal is to bring the world championships of Teqball. This sport is attractive for young people who are our future, this is why we work so hard. FANKEEPERS Festival brought Teqball here for us for four days, and the visitors can even try it.” – welcomed Omar Ali Alblooshi, Director of Events of Dubai Sports Council.
FANKEEPERS Festival’s mission is to create an open community where people are united with life energy and moving forward. Every year the festival will surprise guests with new attractive types of sports. You can experience it between 2nd & 5th of March in Burj Park.
“Everyone among the athletes are super happy to compete in Dubai. We love it here, the circumstances are just amazing and I hope that we can continue our streak and triumph in our categories.” - expressed her feelings Lea Vasas, two-time world champion teqer.
In three categories, almost ten world champions attend the competition in Dubai, while new challengers from China, Iraq, India and Thailand aim to cause surprises.
“Dubai is a perfect place for Teqball. This is not only the beginning of a fruitful friendship, but a chance for both sides to build legacy, together. Dubai is continuously growing and evolving just like our sport and this creates the perfect match.” - said, Gábor Felegyi, Director of Commercial and Events of FITEQ.
The whole event from Dubai will be streamed on FITEQ’s YouTube channel while the finals can be followed on Eurosport worldwide.
