Yundum Barrack dominated the 4th National Teqball Championships in Gambia
The Gambia Teqball Federation held its 4th National Teqball Championship on 3rd June at Olympafrica Center, Serekunda East.
In this year’s national championships, all 18 registered member teams participated with both male and female teqers in the tournament from every region of the country.
Multiple media representatives covered the one-day event and the leadership of the National Sports Council was present too besides plenty of football players and coaches.
In his opening speech Mr. Momodou Demba, Secretary General of The Gambia Teqball Federation, welcomed all the participating teams and highlighted that the national team's managers are ready to choose the players after their performance. Mr. Demba also thanked the host Olympafrica Center for having this year’s championships and also as a base for the federation.
The director of Olympafrica Center, Mr. Jallow said that Gambia is ready to be Africa's leading Teqball nation as there are many talented young players
In women's double Kanifing East took first place, while Yundum Barrack finished as runner-up.
Among men, The line of gathered its second medal, but this time the shiniest one, and Bakoteh took the silver.
