New leader in the club WR
FITEQ made history in June as for the second time Teqball featured in the African Beach Games as well as debuted at the European Games. However, for these two events, the teqers did not get World Ranking points, unlike for the second act of the back-to-back Los Angeles tour.
In women’s doubles, the Americans started to catch up. Tiffany Jackson, after the lost bronze match with Kimberly Baker moved ahead 21 positions to the 53rd. Alisa Kangas & Sydnie Beighley bettered their placement by 10 as they reached the Quarterfinals in LA, while Kindall Kaufmann and Jessica Austin arrived in the top 100.
Rafaella Fontes & Leonardo Santana both jumped 4 positions in mixed doubles with the bronze medal from the City of Angels. One of the biggest surprises was Roberto Rubiolo and Andrea Gomez who advanced to the QFs. With this result, Rubiolo leapt 57 while Gomez 63 places in the WR. The Argentinian Fiorella Pellegrini Boaglio again made it to the best 8 which put her 22 positions ahead.
Among men’s doubles, the runner-up Brazilian Bruno Milhomens jumped up 20 positions and start July at the 47th while Joao Barreto is now at the 37th.
In the club ranking, as a newcomer Taksony Teqball Sport Egyesület took the lead after signing players like four-time world champion, Adam Blazsovics, two-time world and European champion Csaba Banyik, his partner two-time European champion Balazs Katz, two-time world and European champion Zsanett Janicsek among others.
With the current player’s points, Phoenix Teqball Academy Sportegyesület falls back to the 16th position.
