The International Testing Agency (ITA) together with the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) are about to host five online courses on anti-doping.

In the month of the World Teqball Championships 2023 which will be held for the first time outside of Europe in Bangkok, Thailand, another milestone is about to happen as the ITA and FITEQ organise five webinars in five weeks for the members of the Teqball family.

“We, at FITEQ continue to be fully dedicated to supporting and educating our athletes, coaches and National Federation officials, also in anti-doping matters.” – says László Vajda, Secretary General of FITEQ. “We firmly believe in hard work, fair play and clean sport, so in the upcoming five webinars delivered in six languages, we launch a new campaign - the first in the history of Teqball's governing body - to share essential information and skills relating to various aspects of anti-doping. Our athletes keep developing in a myriad of ways as they continue their careers and FITEQ remains committed to contributing to their knowledge of practicalities and fundamentals in clean sport.”

The first session will start on November 7 with „Introduction to anti-doping: Overview of the system, rights and responsibilities, ADRVs”. A week later, on November 14 “The Doping Control Process: Includes testing procedures (urine and blood) and ABP”, then on the next week on November 21 “Medications, Supplements, Prohibited List and TUEs: Includes the Principle of Strict Liability”. One day before the start of the WCh on the 28th of November the topic will be “Principles and Values of Clean Sport: Includes sanctions, consequences and speaking up”, while the education program will finish on December 6 with “Out-of-Competition Testing: Includes requirements of RTP/TP, whereabouts, use of ADAMS.”

Registration is still open, the links can be found above.

“In another step towards safeguarding the integrity of Teqball, FITEQ, in collaboration with the International Testing Agency (ITA), is thrilled to host a five-webinar series designed for athletes, athlete support personnel and the whole Teqball community.” - starts Armando Urban, Education Officer of the ITA. He adds “We encourage everybody to delve into essential topics every athlete needs to know. From their roles and responsibilities to detailed, step-by-step guidance on the doping control process, checking their medications against the Prohibited List, TUEs and more!”

These education series are free and open to the entire Teqball community, including athletes, coaches, and support staff. The webinar will be offered in English with simultaneous translation in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.

Those who attend all five sessions live will receive a certificate of attendance. FITEQ tried to cover all of the national federations as the webinar will be translated simultaneously from English to five other languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
