In a groundbreaking initiative, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) and its national federations are set to play a pivotal role in the International Day of Forest 2024 by actively participating in tree-planting activities. The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 March the International Day of Forests (IDF) in 2012. The Day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests.

As the governing body of Teqball, FITEQ has been at the forefront of promoting sustainability within the sports community. The international federation recognizes the responsibility it holds in fostering a sustainable future. By aligning itself with the International Day of Forest, FITEQ aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire positive action within its vast network. The campaign is called "Teqball Family Challenge: Planting Trees for a Better Future." In social media, FITEQ encourages the participants to use #TeqballGoesGreen.

The national Teqball federations from around the globe are set to take part in the International Day of Forest celebrations by organizing tree-planting events in their respective countries. This collaborative effort highlights the global nature of the Teqball community and its collective commitment to making a tangible impact on environmental conservation.

In a statement released by FITEQ Secretary General, Mr. Laszlo Vajda, the organization expressed its enthusiasm for contributing to the International Day of Forest. Mr. Vajda emphasized the power of sports to unite people and drive positive change.
