The first event of Winter Tour Montenegro was held
On Saturday, February 24, the Sports & Culture Center of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica played host to the first leg of the Montenegrin Teqball League, Winter TouR1. The event showcased the growing enthusiasm for this unique sport, bringing together players, fans, and supporters for an intense competition.
The tournament featured two main categories: men's doubles and singles. The participants demonstrated their skills and passion for teqball, contributing to the overall success of the event.
In the Men's Doubles category, the team Kurjaci, consisting of Marko Žarković and Andrija Jovanović, emerged victorious, displaying a commendable level of teamwork and strategic play. Marko Žarković continued to make his mark in the Men's Singles category, securing the first-place title with his exceptional performance.
A staggering 36 participants registered for the tournament, with 20 competing in the doubles category and 16 in singles. This impressive turnout is a testament to the growing popularity and appeal of teqball in Montenegro.
Looking ahead, the anticipation for the next tournament is already building. Scheduled for Saturday, March 30 in Herceg Novi, the upcoming event promises to continue the momentum generated by Winter TouR1 – Podgorica. As teqball gains more traction in Montenegro, these tournaments serve as crucial platforms for showcasing talent, fostering camaraderie, and elevating the sport to new heights.
