EMCA and FITEQ forge partnership to propel Teqball across Europe
In a significant development for the world of sports, the European Multisport Club Association (EMCA) has teamed up with the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) to spearhead the growth of Teqball throughout Europe. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for the sport, promising exciting opportunities for athletes, clubs, and enthusiasts alike.
At the heart of this partnership lies a shared vision to establish Teqball as a prominent fixture within the European sports landscape. EMCA, representing a diverse network of multisport clubs across the continent, brings its extensive resources and expertise to the TEQ table. At the same time, FITEQ, the global governing body for Teqball, provides invaluable insight and support garnered from years of experience in promoting the sport worldwide.
A cornerstone of this collaboration is the creation of a new Teqball league under the auspices of EMCA. The league, set to debut with a minimum of 8 participating clubs, will provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. FITEQ, in line with its commitment to fostering growth, recommends a series of events culminating in a grand final, akin to a thrilling urban spectacle.
Moreover, EMCA and FITEQ are committed to nurturing talent and fostering long-term sustainability within the sport. A structured athlete and coach development pathway will be established, offering participants the opportunity to transition seamlessly from players to mentors. This initiative ensures a steady influx of skilled professionals and fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among Teqball enthusiasts.
“I am extremely enthusiastic about the collaboration with FITEQ. I look forward to future developments as we aim to help promote Teqball as a sport and the European priorities within our member clubs. As a multisport organization we are certain that through the collaboration with International Sports Federations, we can assure a strong base of sustainability for our projects and provide our members with innovative opportunities.” - highlighted Cristina Tsiligikiri, President of EMCA.
Integral to the success of the partnership is the integration of Teqball into the fabric of multisport clubs affiliated with EMCA. By incorporating Teqball as a dedicated discipline within their ranks, clubs broaden their offerings and provide a platform for athletes to excel. FITEQ, through targeted recruitment efforts, aims to bolster club participation and promote inclusivity across events.
In addition to league fixtures, EMCA and FITEQ have pledged to co-host a series of events at strategic locations across Europe. These events, synchronized with FITEQ's global schedule, will allow athletes to earn coveted World Ranking points while showcasing their talents on a competitive stage.
Crucially, FITEQ has committed to supporting participating clubs by providing essential equipment, including Teqball tables, to facilitate training and competition. Furthermore, educational initiatives, including online lectures and in-person seminars, will be rolled out to equip referees, coaches, and players with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their respective roles. These resources aim to not only enhance the quality of officiating but also empower participants to reach their full potential.
The collaboration between EMCA and FITEQ represents a watershed moment for Teqball in Europe. By leveraging their collective strengths and resources, both organizations are poised to elevate the sport to new heights, promising an exciting future for Teqball enthusiasts across the continent. As the partnership takes shape, all eyes are on the burgeoning Teqball community, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in its remarkable journey.
