The Winter Tour Montenegro continued in Herceg Novi
In a bid to sustain the burgeoning interest in Teqball across Montenegro and to keep the competitive spirit alive year-round, the Teqball Federation of Montenegro made history by organizing its inaugural Winter Tour. The latest stop on this exciting journey was the Winter Tour 2 in Herceg Novi, held on Saturday, March 30, at the Sportski centar Igalo.
With 28 enthusiastic participants registering across two categories with 12 doubles and 16 singles, the event was a testament to the sport's growing popularity within Montenegro. As the second indoor Teqball tournament held in Herceg Novi, Winter Tour 2 served as the official Montenegrin Teqball League Tournament, drawing players and spectators to witness the intense competition firsthand.
The tournament featured two main categories: Men’s Doubles and Men’s Singles, each showcasing the exceptional skills and dedication of the players. Among the fiercely contested matches, one team emerged victorious in the Men’s Doubles category – Kurjaci, represented by the dynamic duo of Marko Žarković and Andrija Jovanović. Their synergy and tactical prowess propelled them to the top, claiming the coveted title in a display of unmatched teamwork.
Not content with just one triumph, Marko Žarković continued his winning streak by clinching the first-place position in the Men’s Singles category. His individual talent and strategic finesse shone brightly on the Teqball court, earning him well-deserved recognition as a formidable force in the sport as he also triumphed in both categories in Podgorica.
