WR - The new season caused turbulence
The points of Teqball World Series - Paris have been taken from the players while the Belgian, Polish and Portuguese tier 4 & 5 events' results have been added to the list.
In 2024 as the new World Ranking policies influence not only the international events but the domestic ones too, players can collect WR points even on the tier 5 tournaments. On the other hand, with the currently implemented categorisation which will debut at Madrid, as FITEQ's 250th international tournament, a better position at the WR meant better chances to be eligible to compete as well as the draw.
Another addition will debut in Madrid as FITEQ implements a new feature: the Best Athletes of the Event awards.
In women's singles with the silver medal in Belgium, the category's world champion of 2021, Anna Izsak (HUN) took second place in the WR from the Queen of 2022, Carolyn Greco (USA). As the Danish Nanna Lind Kristensen became third in Wavre, she jumped ahead two positions and currently owns the 13th. The biggest leaper in the top 50 is the Hungarian Nora Vicsek - who has great results mostly in doubles after she reached the semis in Belgium.
Lionel Beyer beat the current title holder, Adrian Duszak in two sets, in men's singles in Belgium. As the tournament's one of the biggest upsets, the Frenchman was awarded three positions at the WR. Arnold Szilagyi (ROU) is the other winner of April because he finished with a bronze medal thus currently on the 43rd with five spot changes ahead.

All quiet in women's doubles would be true as no new events were held for them, however, the points from Paris have been taken, and therefore even the top 10 were affected. Greco took second place from two-time doubles world champion Lea Vasas (HUN). Women's singles current title holder, Raffaela Fontes (BRA) who finished as silver medallist in Paris along with Natalia Guitler dropped back five positions.
Among men, a new leader starts the month, after three-time world champion Csaba Banyik is once again on the top as his partner, Balazs Katz moved back to the 2nd. Another honorable mention respectively is Apor Gyorgydeak (ROU) who is now 6th after Adam Bako's points for the bronze medal in Paris have been taken away.
Two-time world champion Zsanett Janicsek lost four spots in mixed doubles after the category's winner in the French capital does not own those points anymore. The Hungarian dominated XD in Belgium and took all three places on the podium and both Pechy, Acs and Kota moved ahead on FITEQ World Rankings.
The FITEQ World Ranking list is refreshed after each month when the gained points will be added while the credits that came later than two years will be taken away.
