Montenegrin Teqball League Shone in Herceg Novi
The 4th tournament of the Montenegrin Teqball League for the 2024 season took place on Saturday, June 22, in the picturesque setting of Park Igalo, Herceg Novi.
The 4th MTL event saw fierce competition in both the Men’s Doubles and Men’s Singles categories, with the town proving once again why it is a prime destination for sports and tourism alike.
With 12 pairs in the men’s doubles category, the team Steqers, comprised of Matija Bojović and Veljko Ljumović, emerged victorious. Their synergy and skill were unmatched, securing them the top spot. Although their opponents, PG Teqers took the first set, Bojovic/Ljumovic took over and won in three.
The 16-year-old prodigy further cemented his reputation as a formidable player by clinching first place in the men’s singles category as well where 14 athletes faces each other, and making it a double triumph for him. This was the first time in the history of Montenegrin Teqball League that in singles not Marko Markovic was named the best.
Herceg Novi, with its stunning coastal views and rich history, provided a beautiful backdrop for this exciting event. Known for its vibrant culture and welcoming atmosphere, the town is increasingly becoming a hub for sports tourism.
