FITEQ returns with TWS and CTL for 2025

2025 already promises huge battles and multiple tournaments for both pros and grassroot talents.

The governing body of Teqball shares its plans for the next season as the Challenger Teqball League debuting in 2024 continues its path of grassroot development and the top flight, the Teqball World Series will also be organised among the highest-ranked athletes in 2025.

Teqball World Series which has visited three continents this year kicked off in Madrid in May, then moved to Quy Nhon, Vietnam in June, followed by a stop in Tulsa, USA, before returning to Asia in Qingdao, China. Following the Olympic Games, the series headed back to China, specifically Beijing, and finished in the home of Teqball, where the sport was born, Budapest, Hungary. FITEQ’s top flight made a huge impact and the series will continue in 2025.

With at least four major events on the calendar the upcoming season promises to showcase top-tier competition and provide further growth opportunities for the sport at all levels.

The Teqball World Series will feature events in Hungary, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and other countries are also planned on different continents. These prestigious tournaments will attract the world's best Teqball players, offering them a platform to compete for substantial prizes and international recognition.

The decision to boost the number of stops highlights the increasing popularity of the sport. Each Teqball World Series event will not only feature top-level competition but also be a celebration of Teqball's dynamic and inclusive spirit. The inclusion of countries from diverse regions reflects the sport’s commitment to reaching new audiences and expanding its influence across continents as altogether 253 players competed from 39 nations.

While the Teqball World Series focuses on elite competition, the newly structured Challenger Teqball League will play a pivotal role in the development of the sport at the grassroots level. The CTL serves as a platform for aspiring players, offering them a stage to hone their skills and potentially transition to the world stage. The league will return 2024’s key locations such as Spain, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, however new ones are also about to join even outside of Europe. Additionally, FITEQ will share soon the new formats of tournaments as well as the dates and hosting cities. New bid process will be also implemented, details are coming soon.

This grassroots initiative is essential for the long-term growth of Teqball, as it creates more pathways for emerging talent to enter the sport. By providing increased access to competitive opportunities, the Challenger Teqball League nurtures players from different backgrounds and helps to democratize the sport.

FITEQ’s 2025 calendar promises to be an exciting journey for both the highest-ranked athletes and for ambitious grassroot talents.
