Teqball family raises €4,297 for Barbara Nagy’s treatment
FITEQ and the Teqball community have raised €4,297 to support Barbara Nagy, a beloved Hungarian Teqball player diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Barbara, known for her remarkable skill and tenacity on the Teqball table, claimed a bronze medal at the Hungarian Championship in Zalaegerszeg a few years ago. In 2021, however, she was met with an unexpected and daunting challenge off the table. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Barbara pursued every available medical option in Hungary, but these were quickly exhausted. A new hope for treatment emerged in Germany, yet the costs were overwhelming, far beyond what Barbara and her family could afford alone.
In response, FITEQ launched an online fundraising campaign to make this life-saving treatment possible. FITEQ kick-started the fund with an initial donation of €2,500, encouraging Teqball players, fans, and supporters worldwide to join in this effort. The call was met with an outpouring of generosity and compassion, culminating in the incredible milestone of €4,297 raised for Barbara’s cause.
This achievement represents more than just financial support; it’s a testament to the unwavering solidarity and commitment that defines the Teqball family. Barbara has expressed profound gratitude, calling the support she’s received an immense help in her journey. This milestone has rekindled her hope and affirmed that she does not face this challenge alone.
Barbara’s journey continues as she already received four treatments out of twelve. FITEQ and its members wishes her the bests and do everything get her back to the Teqball table as soon as possible.
