FITEQ unveils exciting 2025 calendar for Teqball showdowns
The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) has announced its 2025 calendar, packed with thrilling events across the Teqball World Series and the Challenger Teqball League. This ambitious schedule includes new and returning locations, giving fans and players a year full of competitive Teqball action.
FITEQ's first flight, Teqball World Series, is set to return in April to Southeast Asia. Teqball is becoming increasingly popular there, especially after Bangkok hosted the first World Teqball Championships outside of Europe in 2023 and as Ho Chi Minh City organizes the upcoming WTCH24. Known for its dynamic fans, the region promises an exciting start to this elite series. Following the opener, Europe will welcome the TWS for its second event in May.
The third leg of the series returns to Southeast Asia in July. Teqball’s rapid growth in this region is supported by local demand as athletes like the Thais who already conquered the world both in women's and mixed doubles are expected to generate excitement across international Teqball communities. Just as in 2024, the Teqball World Series stays in Asia for September, where it will continue to highlight Teqball’s rising profile across the continent. The series ends in Europe in October.
Expanding Challenger Teqball League in 2025
Building on its successful launch in 2024, the Challenger Teqball League will double its events from five to ten in 2025. Each event offers players a platform to accumulate ranking points and showcases Teqball to diverse audiences worldwide. The 2025 schedule includes:
In February, the season kicks off in Pecs, Hungary. As a new Teqball hub, it sets a strong tone for the season. Presov, Slovakia is the next on the line to witness top-tier talent competing to secure early ranking points. Wavre, Belgium joins too in April to further expand Teqball's reach across Western Europe. In May, Denmark will host a highly anticipated event with a lot of young, local talents continuing its commitment to promoting the sport. The prestigious setting of Monaco in June is sure to attract a vibrant crowd for mid-year competition. With two events planned, Portugal will be a summer hotspot for Teqball, inviting players and fans to enjoy the sport along the picturesque Iberian Peninsula and the islands of Madeira. The autumn starts in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania where the GOBEK Teqball Club hosts the creme de la creme of Teqball. Badalona, Spain hosts the penultimate event of the Challenger League while FITEQ's Tier IV. the tournament ends in Germany in November as Hamburg sets the display for the final show.
Adriatic Teqball League is now open to everyone
ATL is an urban Teqball tour that goes through five countries, however, from 2025 have the chance to further expand to two additional countries. The organizers will hold at least five events, two of which are already known July 19, Bar, Montenegro and August 16, Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. The Balkan region is growing continuously in Teqball. More and more players register and start to play the sport and with the new format, they will be able to develop together with the bests of the globe.
Season Finale: World Teqball Championships 2025
The 2025 season is expected to conclude with the highly anticipated Teqball World Championships. As the year’s grand finale, this event will crown the world’s best players and bring the season to a spectacular close. Although FITEQ has not finalized the date, the World Teqball Championships are traditionally held toward the end of the year, ensuring a dramatic conclusion to a packed calendar.
With a broader range of events across the Teqball World Series and Challenger Teqball League, FITEQ’s 2025 calendar reflects the sport’s expanding international presence. From Southeast Asia to Western Europe, players will have numerous opportunities to compete, gain recognition, and grow the global teqball community.
