WR - The World Teqball Championships 2024 rearranged the latest FITEQ World Ranking

This year's FITEQ World Ranking shows how the World Teqball Championships 2024 in Vietnam shifted rankings.

The World Teqball Championships 2024 and the previous season's final event, the Paris Teqball Cup mixed things up at the FITEQ World Ranking.

In 2024, the then-new World Ranking policies influenced not only international events but also domestic ones. Players can collect WR points even in Tier V. tournaments. However, the currently implemented categorisation needs to be restructured with the updated FITEQ World Ranking policies. In January, the latest ladder included the points of the World Teqball Championships and the Paris Teqball Cup, while no event's results were subtracted.

The new 'Queen of Teqball' Jutatip Kuntatong is on the top of FITEQ World Ranking in women's singles after beating Raffaela Fontes Gimenez in Ho Chi Minh City. While the Thai athlete moved ahead by three positions, the Brazilian world champion from 2022 is the second. Two-time world bronze medallist, Kinga Barabasi (ROU) slipped back to third place after the bronze medal in Vietnam while the category's upset, Paulina Lezak (POL) who surprised the world champion Anna Izsak (HUN) and also finished with a bronze medal leapfrogged 15 places to the 8th. With the 17th place at the WTCH24, Daria Zelenska jumped ahead the biggest in the top 50 to the 42nd with 40 positions.

2024 was all about Apor Gyorgydeak (ROU) in men's singles. He finished the season unbeaten and got his second world championship title in Vietnam. Although Adrian Duszak (POL) did not defend his title and went home with a bronze medal, he moved one place ahead on the WR. Nikola Mitro became the second athlete ever to register a medal in three categories at the World Teqball Championships. As a runner-up, he collected enough points to reach the 6th position, besting his previous by 11. Boonkoom Tipwong, finished third in Vietnam and moved ahead to 8th place. Nilson Fernando Castaneda Vargas (COL) +27, Mathias Landen Jeppesen (DEN) +18 will benefit greatly from the new limitation system.

The Thai duo, Suphawadi Wonghamchan/Jutatip Kuntatong stayed on the top in Ho Chi Minh City and still undefeated in their Teqball career which started two years ago in women's doubles! Kuntatong is Teqball's only athlete who leads two FITEQ World Ranking categories simultaneously. The Danish third place from Nanna Lind Kristensen/Mira Faeno Dahlmann provided them with the 15th & 16th place, better with 11 positions. Iryna Dubytska/Daria Zelenska (UKR) fifth place meant they are now in the top 50. While the first is at the 32nd, the latter is at the 47th after jumping ahead by 95 places! Krisztina Acs (HUN) is at the 4th step after the silver medal at the WTCH24.

In men's doubles, the Thai world champions, Jirati Chanliang/Sorrasark Thaosiri are now in the top 10, fifth and events while the Hungarians and Serbians are still on the top of the WR. Adrian Duszak and Marek Pokwap (POL) moved ahead nicely with their silver medal. This medal made Duszak the third athlete to reach the podium at the World Teqball Championships in three categories. India's historical bronze medal by Declan Gonsalves and Anas Beg chartered them into the top 50, to the 30th and 31st places. Multiple duo who finished fifth in Vietnam moved ahead. Ukraine's bests, the national team of Denmark and the double from the Czech Republic are both on the first page of the WR.

The category's title holder, now two-time world champions, Suphawadi Wonkghamchan/Phakpong Dejaroen (THA) are in the hunt for Csaba Banyik/Krisztina Acs (HUN). Balazs Katz (HUN) who finished as runner-up slid back by 2 to fifth place. Both of the bronze medallists in mixed doubles, Apor Gyorgydeak/Kinga Barabasi and Amelie Julian/Hugo Rabeux moved ahead. Maria Chedid after reaching the fifth place at the world champs with Ahmad Arabi, leapfrogged by 25 places to the 38th.

The season of 2025 starts in Pécs, Hungary on the 11th of January with Pecs PSN Teqball Tournament with two categories which will provide Tier VI. World Ranking points.

The FITEQ World Ranking list is refreshed after each month when the gained points will be added while the credits that came later than two years will be taken away.
