Adriatic Teqball League 2025 is open for every Teqball athlete!
Throughout ATL's first two seasons, the league has seen athletes from mostly the five Adriatic countries but it will change in 2025 with growth and vision for the future.
The Adriatic Teqball League has quickly established itself as a premier regional competition, showcasing immense talent and driving the growth of Teqball. Throughout its first two seasons, the league has seen participation from 136 players from five regional countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. Wild card entries from Greece, Poland, and Italy further enriched the competitive landscape, underscoring the league’s international appeal. However, the league's organizers open the gate for every international athlete as the ATL becomes open and the finals of the events will be streamed on TEQ TV. Moreover, as of the FITEQ World Ranking policy, Tier IV. category points can be earned at ATL.
The 2025 season promises to be even more thrilling, with a total prize pool of €15,000 distributed across five events. Adding to the excitement, the league winner (player(s) with the most points) will earn the coveted opportunity to compete in one of the prestigious Teqball World Series events, further elevating the stakes for players and federations alike.
While ATL has already confirmed three events for the upcoming season, the focus is on strategic growth. A return to Croatia is already on the calendar, but the league’s ambitions extend further. By the 2026 season, organizers aim to expand into Albania and Greece, reinforcing the Adriatic Teqball League’s role as a catalyst for Teqball’s regional growth.
The first event of the Adriatic Teqball League will be held on June 14 in Ohrid, North Macedonia. Known for its stunning lake and historic sites, Ohrid offers athletes and spectators an unforgettable experience steeped in natural beauty and cultural heritage. In 2024, the three-time world champion Serbian duo Nikola Mitro/Bogdan Marojevic won the men's doubles, while Mitro took the trophy in singles.
The coastal gem of Bar, Montenegro combines breathtaking Adriatic views with a rich blend of history and modern charm, making it a perfect destination for sports tourism. On July 19th the Teqball family returns to Bar for the third time in a row.
As a city that bridges East and West, Sarajevo (BIH) provides a vibrant backdrop for Teqball as she already did in 2023. Complete with diverse cultural attractions and a warm, welcoming atmosphere the city will not only be the centre of Teqball on August 16 but a great place of evergreen stories.
The progress made over the first two seasons of the Adriatic Teqball League is undeniable. For players, the league provides a high-quality competitive platform, enabling them to test their skills against top-tier opponents and gain critical experience. This opportunity fosters personal and professional growth, enhancing their readiness for international competitions.
"Federations that send their delegations benefit significantly from the exchange of knowledge and expertise with some of the most developed Teqball federations, such as the Polish Federation." highlighted the importance of ATL the President of Teqball Montenegro, Milorad Sutulovic "This shared know-how contributes to the growth and professionalization of Teqball in their own countries. Host cities enjoy multiple advantages, including a boost in tourism, tangible economic benefits, and immense global exposure. Through FITEQ’s platforms, which boast over 10 million followers on social media, host cities gain international visibility and position themselves as destinations for innovative, modern sports events." said the main organizer of the Adriatic Teqball League.
The Adriatic Teqball League’s journey has only just begun, but its impact on players, federations, and host cities is already profound. The Montenegrin Teqball national team for the first time in its short history, secured a spot among the world’s top 16 teams in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at the World Teqball Championships 2024.
Two more events will be announced soon on the channels of FITEQ. The finals will be streamed on TEQ TV.
