Teqball season of 2025 kicked-off in Pecs, Hungary

Polish and Hungarian triumphs mark 2025's first, international Teqball Cup.

The inaugural Pécs PSN Teqball Cup, the first international Teqball event of 2025, concluded with victories for Polish and Hungarian athletes.

Pécs, the historically rich city, hosted the first international Teqball tournament in 2025. In the category V. event. The local organisers put together the high-standard international Teqball tournament at the Lauber Dezső Sports Hall, attracting 40 competitors from 9 countries. The event aimed to provide competition opportunities for athletes new to the Hungarian Teqball scene and those not ranked in the top twenty of FITEQ's World Ranking. A total of 29 singles players and 16 pairs participated.

In the singles event, Daniel Varga and Gergő Varga secured bronze medals, while the final was contested between local player Barna Kovacsfi and Poland's Stefan Orlowski, with Orlowski taking the win.

In the doubles competition, Mate Hercegfi/Daniel Varga and Benjamin Toth/Boldizsar Levik shared third place. Gergo Varga/Gergo Dombai took the runner-up position, while Stefan Orlowski and Milan Csabi claimed the championship. 

Teqball will return to Pecs in February as the first Challenger Teqball League event will be held there as the elite of Teqball will compete over three days at the Lauber Dezső Sports Hall. On February 14-16, the international tournament featuring men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles categories, where several local players from Pécs are expected to compete.
