WR - New name leads in mixed doubles
The season continued in February with three events. After the FITEQ World Ranking points of the USA Teqball Tour—Los Angeles were deducted, a new leader emerged in mixed doubles.
The second period of 2025 brought three tournaments, one in each Tier: IV., V., VI.. In Pécs for FITEQ's newest league's first rendez-vous, the Challenger Teqball League - Pécs PSN attracted 60 athletes from 15 countries, while in Teqball Cup - Pecs PSN, a new force showed its talent from Denmark., and the Tier V. event, Teqball Open - Granda was a perfect place for Marek Pokwap to dominate the field.
In the men's singles, the first eleven stayed in the same position. As the current title holder, Apor Gyorgydeak (ROU) continued his streak and stayed unbeaten in Pecs, the difference between him and Adrian Duszak (POL) grew. Runner-up at CTL - Pecs PSN, Balazs Katz (HUN) took the 12th, while his compatriots, Gergo Dombai and Bolidzsar Levik, also moved ahead one place to 14th and 15th. At age 15, Saxe Paruup-Clausen (DEN) won the Tier VI. event in Hungary became the youngest athlete ever to win an international Teqball tournament. This triumph meant the 61st position after bettering his previous by 34. The same competition's runner-up, Daniel Botond Varga (HUN) - with whom Paruup-Clausen won the men's doubles in the same event - is the mover of the month as the silver medal flew him to the 94th place, taking over 79 athletes.
The 'Queen of Teqball' and WR-leader Jutatip Kuntatong (THA) stayed on top despite not competing in Pécs. The higher-ranked Moldovian Teqball athlete, Viorica Tonu and the two-time world champion, who competed after months of hiatus, Zsanett Janicsek, both leapfrogged one and one positions. While Tonu is now the 9th, Janicsek is the 11th. Maria Chedid is the biggest winner in women's singles' WR top 100 in February as she owns the 67th place by taking over 5 opponents with her performance at the CTL - Pecs PSN.
Marek Pokwap (POL) comes closer to the top in every category step-by-step. In men's doubles, his place-swap with the four-time world champion Adam Blazsovics (HUN) was the only movement in the top 10. Along with multiple athletes, Daniel Neuhold (AUT) jumped 3 places ahead to the 67th after reaching the silver medal in men's doubles in Pécs at the Teqball Cup.
In women's doubles, the three-time world bronze medallist Ester Viana Mendes (BRA) changed positions with Gabriella Kota (HUN) and now the 5th as the points from LA have been removed where Kota finished as runner-up. This move was the only mentionable action as none of the events from the last weeks included women's doubles competitions.
Krisztina Acs (HUN), two-time world silver medallist and one world bronze medallist, took over the first spot from the three-time world champion, also his partner in mixed doubles, Csaba Banyik (HUN). They finished second in Pécs at the CTL tour behind Barabasi/Gyorgydeak. World silver medallist from 2018, Arpad Sipos (HUN) is the 'Mover of the Month' in XD after his triumph in Granda and 9th place in Pécs. He is now the 64th after moving ahead 12 positions.
The 2025 season continues in Slovakia with the Challenger Teqball League—Presov, which will have three doubles categories between March 21 and 23.
