FITEQ joins #WhiteCard campaign for Peace Through Sport
As the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) approaches on April 6, the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) proudly joins the global #WhiteCard campaign led by Peace and Sport. This initiative highlights the power of sport in promoting peace and unity.
This year’s campaign raises awareness for 460 million children living in conflict-affected areas. With the tagline “Speak your peace: for them, raise your #WhiteCard,” Peace and Sport encourages global participation in fostering peace through sport.
FITEQ family raises the #WhiteCard in 2022.
FITEQ invites the Teqball community to join this initiative by submitting a photo holding a white card to [email protected] by March 31. These images will be included in an official design and shared on FITEQ’s Instagram story feed on April 6. Include your Instagram handle if you’d like to be tagged and spread the word among your clubs.
The United Nations established IDSDP in 2013 to celebrate sport’s role in social development. FITEQ, through the Teqball Tour and global initiatives, is committed to reaching every continent and promoting gender equality, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.
The #WhiteCard, inspired by red and yellow cards in sports, represents peace and solidarity. By raising a #WhiteCard, participants show their commitment to peace through sport, especially on April 6.
FITEQ’s long-standing CSR initiatives include its partnership with Peace and Sport, notably donating Teqball tables to the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan and training local coaches to create lasting impact. These efforts align with the United Nations’ IDSDP goals, reinforcing sport’s role in peacebuilding.
With over 9.5 million followers, FITEQ will showcase the Teqball community’s #WhiteCard participation, demonstrating sport’s power to unite.
On April 6, let’s stand together—raise your #WhiteCard for peace!
