Dezhou, China hosts the season's second Teqball World Series

The Teqbal World Series does not stop and returns to China for the second event.

The vibrant city of Dezhou, China, is renowned for its rich history and cultural significance. From May 23 to 25, 2025, it will host the prestigious Teqball World Series. This event marks the second of the year's series, following the inaugural tournament held in Jinan, China, in April.

Situated in Shandong Province, Dezhou has a history that stretches back over 4,000 years. The city is famed for its exquisite black pottery, which, under varying light conditions, displays hues ranging from purple and indigo to silver and exudes a metallic sheen. Historically, Dezhou served as a vital port along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, underscoring its strategic importance in ancient China. This importance reaches a new level as the city hosts its first international Teqball event.

The selection of Dezhou as a host city for the Teqball World Series underscores China's and Southeast Asia's growing significance in the Teqball community. The sport has witnessed a surge in popularity across these regions, with numerous clubs and enthusiasts embracing the energy that Teqball offers. The decision to hold consecutive Teqball World Series events in Jinan and Dezhou reflects this burgeoning interest and the regions' pivotal roles in the sport's global expansion.

The Teqball World Series Dezhou will feature three categories: men's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles. Athletes from around the globe will compete for prestigious titles and a share of the $30,000 prize pool, adding a competitive edge to the tournament.

In a groundbreaking move, the finals of the TWS will be held in the lobby of the Kunhe International Hotel. This marks the first time in Teqball history that a hotel lobby has been chosen as the venue for the finals, offering spectators a unique and intimate viewing experience. The innovative setting is expected to enhance the sport's visibility and accessibility, drawing in both seasoned fans and newcomers alike.

As Dezhou prepares to welcome athletes and fans for the Teqball World Series, the city's rich heritage and the tournament's innovative approaches promise an unforgettable experience for all participants and spectators. Shandong TV, the leading channel of the province will broadcast the finals live.
