FITEQ Commissions
Outlined below are the 15 International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) Commissions, which operate in accordance with Article 4 of the FITEQ Statutes. The FITEQ President, Chair, Vice President, and General Secretary are ex-officio members of all non-judicial Commissions.
Athletes' Commission
The members of the Athletes Commission are Barna Szécsi (ROU), Marijana Goranovic (MNE), Dieng Alioune Badara (SEN), Natalia Guitler (BRA), Maria Chedid (LIB).
The Athletes’ Commission Primary Coordinator is Marosvári Ádám, Competition Manager, and the Secondary Coordinator is Barnabás Németh, Sports Data Manager.
The FITEQ Athletes’ Commission is an independent body that represents the views of teqball athletes across all five continents.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- Provide an effective platform where the views of athletes are represented, and the voice of athletes can be heard by advising the Executive Board on matters concerning athletes.
- Represent athletes in a consultative manner at meetings of the Executive Board or General Assembly upon mandatory invitation.
- Collaborate in the proposals and amendments of rules and regulations.
- Ensure athlete representation across all FITEQ platforms.
- Empower athlete representation and promote gender equity.
- Support athlete development in both sporting and non-sporting careers.
- Promote athlete involvement in decision making.
- Promote and protect athlete welfare, image rights, clean sport and other matters involving athletes.
- Be accessible and visible at major events.
Legal Affairs Commission
The members of the Legal Affairs Commission are Jakub Mihálik (SVK), Gallo Diop (SEN), Melanie Scharer (SUI), Besa Chibwe (ZAM), Ricardo M. Avila (PER).
The Primary Coordinators of the Legal Affairs Commission are dr. Marianna Erdei, Legal Director, and Klára Petrovszki, Senior Legal Counsel.
The FITEQ Legal Affairs Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the legal operations within the structure of the Federation.
- Provide opinions concerning draft amendments to the FITEQ statutes.
- Consider actions or defences concerning FITEQ.
- Carry out studies of a legal nature on issues which may affect the interests of FITEQ.
Finance Commission
The members of the Finance Commission are Filip Patkovic (MNE), Dagmawit Girmay Berhane (ETH), Micheal Payne (GBR), Kiho Lee (KOR), Cecilia Nayame ZULU (ZAM).
The Primary Coordinator of the Finance Commission is Miklós Kun, Chief Finance Officer.
The FITEQ Finance Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the financial operations within the structure of the Federation.
- Review and pre-approve financial information in order to be able to provide advice and recommendations to the Executive Board.
- Provide advice and guidance to other commissions on financial matters.
- Ensure that FITEQ has an efficient and transparent budgeting and financial control process, and that the Financial Policies and Procedures approved by the Executive Board are respected.
- Perform an annual review of the completed financial statements.
Sport Development Commission
The members of the Sport Development Commission are Krzysztof Ochedalski (POL), Said Djama Madina (DJI), Lydia Nsereka (BDI), Kashish Mony Topandasani (INA), Nolwazi Ngwenyama (SWZ).
The Primary Coordinators of the Sport Development Commission are Sport Development Managers Réka Reichard and Béla Müller, Head of Communications. Hanna Bocskor, Event Manager.
The FITEQ Sport Development Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the sport development (National Federation) programme of the Federation.
- Study the summaries of the applications received and elaborated by the Executive Board and management team
- Submit proposals to the Executive Board regarding the allocation of the programme support to National Federations.
- Assist with the elaboration and the implementation of the Education projects and Seminars.
Medical & Anti-Doping Commission
The members of the Medical & Anti-Doping Commission are Kadidiatou Tounkara (MLI), Dr. Kirill Micallef Stafrace (MLT), Dr. Rudy Ramsawak (TTO).
The Primary Coordinator of the Medical & Anti-Doping Commission is Zita, Klinger, Sport Development Manager.
The Medical & Anti-Doping Commission serves in a judicial capacity.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the medical and Anti-Doping programme of the Federation.
- To act as the judicial body of the Federation in accordance with the FITEQ Statutes.
- Safeguards the health of the athletes involved in the sport.
- Advise organisers in a consultative capacity on medical, hygienic, nutritional and related matters.
- At major FITEQ events, contact the LOC to ensure the provision of medical supplies, doping control, transportation, first aid and medical services as required by FITEQ. Advise the LOC on the food to be supplied to the participants in regard to quality, quantity and health requirements.
- Collect medical data on the long-term effects of the sport on the human body.
- Develop educational programmes pertaining to training, injury management and the use and abuse of medicines and banned substances.
- Monitor the development and implementation of the FITEQ Anti-Doping Policy.
- In collaboration with the Technical and Coaching Commission and Scientific Commission coordinates the planning and implementation of research on Teqball.
Technical & Coaching Commission
The members of the Technical & Coaching Commission are Dionsiío Goncalves (POR), Vital Yamuremye (BDI), Zsanett Janicsek (HUN).
The Primary Coordinator of the Technical & Coaching Commission is Norbert Augusztin, Chief Referee, and the Secondary Coordinator is Barnabás Németh, Sports Data Manager.
The FITEQ Technical & Coaching Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the technical and coaching programme of the Federation.
- Study, analyze, monitor, and develop, technical, referee and coaching curriculum.
- Assist with the conduct of Technical, Referee and Coaching courses; including coach licensing programmes.
- Elaborate the Referee and Coaching Examinations and criteria for the promotion of Officials.
- Publish technical information, manuals, bulletins, and various other publications relative to Teqball refereeing and coaching.
- Take measures to improve the level of refereeing and officiating at events.
- Propose themes, develop and update curricula for coaching clinics and recommends lecturers to present.
- Develop Coaching Education programmes on several levels for implementation throughout National Federations.
- Research and develop recommendations concerning sports equipment and facilities from a coaching standpoint.
- Study developments in the technical rules from a coach’s standpoint.
- Develop appropriate training programme examples for various stages of development and age. Also recommend appropriate training programmes for males, females and Para-Sport athletes.
- Develop initiatives on how teqball and para teqball training can benefit other sports.
Scientific & Research Commission
The members of the Scientific & Research Commission are Frederick Chitangala (ZAM), Kanegesvari Kandan (MAS), Brian Lewis (TTO).
The Primary Coordinator of the Scientific & Research Commission is Barnabás Németh, Sport Data Manager and the Secondary Coordinator is Norbert Augusztin, Chief Referee.
The FITEQ Scientific & Research Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the scientific and research programme of the Federation.
- Research bio mechanical aspects and apparatus to improve teqball and para teqball technique.
- Liaise with sport scientists to enhance athletic performance.
- Research and develop recommendations concerning sports equipment and facilities from a coaching standpoint.
Women’s Commission
The members of the Women's Commission are Vlad Podar (ROU), Helen El Hajri (FRA), Sevi Townsend (GBR), Enikő Huszár (HUN), Erika Borsányi (HUN).
The Primary Coordinator of the Women’s Commission is Hanna Bocskor, Event Manager, and the Secondary Coordinator is Máté Bor, Chief of Staff.
The FITEQ Women’s Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the women’s programme of the Federation.
- Focus on the due representation of women’s interests; in all fields and at all levels of teqball and para teqball, with a focus on ensuring gender parity, inclusivity and diversity.
- Encourage and initiate research into women’s teqball and para teqball.
- Elaborate proposals to the Executive Board focused on enhancing the empowerment of women, including sport leaders.
Para Sport Commission
The members of the Para Sport Commission are Awa Ndao (SEN), Faiza Reny (FRA), Milos Ranitovic (MNE).
The Primary Coordinators of the Para Teqball Commission are Béla Müller, Head of Communications. The Secondary Coordinator is Zita Klinger, Sport Development Manager.
The FITEQ Para Sport Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the para teqball programme of the Federation.
- Focus on the due representation of parasport interests; with a focus on ensuring parasport development, gender parity, inclusivity, and diversity.
- Encourage and initiate research into parasport.
- Elaborate proposals to the Executive Board focused on enhancing the empowerment of parasport Athletes.
- Assist in the development of the para teqball medical code.
- Explore new classification disciplines.
CSR & Sport & Active Society Commission
The members of the CSR & Sport and Active Society Commission are Siva Kumar Jakartahan (MAS), Luca Lorena (ROU), Abou Gueye (SEN).
The Primary Coordinator of the CSR & Sport and Active Society Commission is Gergely Murányi, Head of Diplomatic Relations & CSR.
The FITEQ CSR & Sport and Active Society Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the CSR programme of the Federation.
- Provide oversight of the Federation's operations and programs regarding:
- strategic philanthropy and employee community involvement.
- public policy and advocacy, including lobbying and political contributions corporate social responsibility of suppliers.
- human rights, as reflected in the Federation’s policies and actions toward employees, athletes, suppliers and communities.
- international diplomatic activities.
- international CSR programs and donation events
- Evaluate sponsorship applications individually and/or discuss, rank and/or develop a shortlist to determine and apply evaluation criteria.
- Recommend notable organisations, programmes and partners.
The Commission will also engage in discussions regarding the Federation’s operations and initiatives that can create a positive or negative impact from a social responsibility perspective.
Ethics & Disciplinary Commission
The members of the Ethics & Disciplinary Commission are Michele Verroken (GBR), Michail Prokopets (RUS), Antonis Vogiatzakis (GRE).
The Primary Coordinators of the Ethics & Disciplinary Commission are dr. Marianna Erdei, Legal Director, and Klára Petrovszki, Senior Legal Counsel.
The Medical & Anti-Doping Commission serves in a judicial capacity.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the Ethics and Disciplinary framework of the Federation.
- To act as the judicial body of the Federation in accordance with the FITEQ Statutes.
Governance Commission
The members of the Governance Commission are Anna Mataure Mguni (ZIM), Sheikha Nouria Al Sabah (KUW), Jon Tibbs (GBR), Daniel Conti (URU), Mwape Zulu (ZAM).
The Primary Coordinators of the Ethics & Disciplinary Commission are dr. Marianna Erdei, Legal Director, and Klára Petrovszki, Senior Legal Counsel.
The FITEQ Governance Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the Governance framework of the Federation.
- Provide leadership between FITEQ and National Federations in terms of compliance with the FITEQ Statutes, policies, regulations and all official communications.
- Monitor compliance and propose solutions for optimum cooperation and compliance.
Athlete Status & Transfer Commission
The members of the Athlete Status & Transfer Commission are Szabolcs Ilyés (ROU), Michal Liestkiewicz (POL), Sarah Khaja (KUW).
The Primary Coordinator of the Athlete Status & Transfer Commission is Barnabás Németh, Sports Data Manager.
The FITEQ Athlete Status & Transfer Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the Athlete Status and Transfer framework of the Federation.
- To lead, manage and process the application of players between clubs in accordance with the published policy.
Athlete Entourage Commission
The members of the Athlete Entourage Commission are Kajetan Listkiewicz (POL), Nadin Dawani (JOR), Alexandra Koncar (AUT), Xolisani Gwesela (ZIM), Jan Paterson (GBR).
The Primary Coordinator of the Athlete Entourage Commission is Barnabás Németh, Sports Data Manager.
The FITEQ Athlete Entourage Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Athlete Entourage Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the athletes’ entourage within the structure of the Federation.
- To present the point of view of the athletes’ entourage to the Executive Board on Anti-Doping issues, health and safety of athletes, social development, ethics, irregular betting, manipulation of competition, harassment and abuse in sport and match fixing.
- Address the growth in importance of commercial and media influences, including the increasing influences of contractual arrangements, employment conditions, revenue generation, commercial associations, media demands and commitments.
- Educate athletes, coaches, and the athletes' entourage through the provision of a reference framework and guidelines.
- To submit reports and recommendations to the Executive Board on matters of relevance to the athletes’ entourage.
Sustainability Commission
The members of the Sustainability Commission are Milorad Sutulovic (MNE), Nasser Majali (JOR), Silvija Mitevska (MKD).
The Primary Coordinator of the Sustainability Commission is Gergely Murányi, Head of Diplomatic Relations & CSR
The FITEQ Sustainability Commission acts in a consultative capacity to the FITEQ Executive Board.
The responsibilities of the Commission are to:
- To offer assistance and advice to the Executive Board on matters which are relevant to the sustainability framework within the structure of the Federation.
- Be a leader, advocate and manage FITEQ’s impact on the environment through:
- Providing a safe and healthful workplace for the staff of the federation.
- Having an environmentally sustainable aware culture, where responsibility is assigned and understood.
- Being an environmentally responsible International Federation.
- Conserving natural resources by reusing and recycling.
- Reduce the need of travel and facilitate regular training sessions, we provide free online trainings and webinars to all the national federations and clubs.
- Ensuring the responsible use of energy throughout the events and competitions of the federation.
- Participating in efforts to improve environmental protection and understanding.
- Taking steps to improve environmental performance continually.
- Conducting audits, evaluations, and self-assessments of the implementation of this Sustainability Policy.
- Collaborating with our partners across the International Federation and National Federations to implement sustainable solutions.
- Working with suppliers who promote environmental practice.
- Enhancing awareness among our athletes, trainers, staff, volunteers, and sports enthusiasts at all levels, educating and motivating them to act in an environmentally responsible manner.
